We are recruiting for a first line support role, working with business customers.
You would be monitoring business customer systems and highlighting issues for investigation, as well as the deployment of new hardware and software.
Qualifications Required :5 GCSE's at Grade C or above (including Maths & English).
Vacancy Detail: Working with systems design primarily around Microsoft Cloud and on-premise technologies, the Junior Support Technician will provide first line support and recording details of issues and requests. With mentoring, resolving issues and working with second line support where required.
Using specific tools, the role will involve monitoring of customer servers, PC’s, network equipment and associated software such as backup and antivirus and raising support requests where required.
Configuring and deploying new hardware and software on customer premises.
Specific duties will include:
• Provide live support to customers via remote control software
• Ensure best practices are being used (updates, security etc)
• Become familiar with specific network structures and functionality
• Procure new broadband and voice contracts on request
• Rollout new projects & work with client liaisons to ensure delivery
• Setup new devices in accordance with each client’s requirements

Working Week: Mon-Fri 9AM-5:30PM
Salary: £200.00 Per Week

Able to communicate with customers in plain English and present a professional image.
Skills Required:
- Experience with hardware or software configuration. (desirable)
- Experience of providing remote desktop support (desirable)
Future Prospects: As well as the chance to receive full on the job training throughout, by the end of the Apprenticeship you’ll have gained nationally accredited qualifications as well as English & maths Functional Skills Level 2.
Training to be Provided: The Infrastructure Technician Apprenticeship will enable you to gain the relevant knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide first or second line support to internal and external customers and stakeholders to help them be productive when using technology. By the end of the programme, you will be able to set people up on their IT systems and provide support when needed, rectifying issues to maintain colleagues’ and the organisation’s productivity. Job roles include helpdesk technician, first or second line IT support roles or Network support roles.
As a result, you will receive the following qualification: Infrastructure Technician (Standard) Level 3 Functional Skills in English and maths (if required).
MTA Network Fundamentals/CompTIA A+/ CompTIA Network+ professional qualification (Choose one option)
